When Delicatessen brought in new Pastry Chef Kate Cowan, I had no idea that she was about to change my life.  Two words: Bacon Beignets. Fried doughy goodness provides the satisfying crisp, maple crème anglaise lends just the right amount of creamy sweetness and crunchy bacon bits contribute the…bacon-ness. The very essence of bacons smoky, meaty goodness elevates a simple (albeit delicious) dessert into an extraordinary full-on mouth, body and mind experience.  Yeah, it’s that good.
